Created in 1993, this dataset consists of points representing survey monuments. These monuments were used to establish a first order control network used by surveyors in Lancaster County. The purpose of the survey was to establish a first order control network for use by surveyors in the County. A total of 240 stations were set, consisting of 120 pairs of intervisible monuments. The site selections and monumentation were done by HRG of Lancaster, while the GPS observations were done by ADR. The majority of the project was conducted using dual frequency receivers.

A total of 240 stations were set, consisting of 120 pairs of intervisible monuments. The site selections and monumentation were done by HRG of Lancaster, while the GPS observations were done by ADR. All of the Lancaster county monuments consisted of a brass disk set in the top of a concrete monument, flush with or below the ground. Some of these monuments have been disturbed by construction at the monument site. The dataset contains the locations of all monuments known to exist.
