Northwest Lancaster County River Trail

Marietta Borough will be working on Furnace Road until the end of June.  Please plan accordingly.

Chickies NWRT1

The Chickies Rock section of the NWLCRT provides a key connector for the larger 14.2-mile trail which runs from Columbia to Falmouth. Creation of this trail, which has been more than 20 years in the making, reflects the cooperative efforts of Columbia Borough, the County of Lancaster, Marietta Borough, East Donegal and Conoy Townships. PA-DCNR and LCSWMA have also played a key role in development and funding for the project.

The trail provides numerous recreational opportunities including walking, jogging, cross-country skiing and bike riding as well as providing an alternative means of transportation to Route 441. The trail also exposes visitors to the historic ruins and scenic attractions along the Susquehanna River corridor.
