The Lancaster County Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM) is a resource in the community for First Responders. This group is comprised of Licensed Mental Health Providers and Emergency Service Worker/First Responder Peers who share a common goal of providing support to first responders after difficult experiences. CISM protocol allows first responders who have been involved in a critical incident to share their experiences, vent their emotions, learn about stress reactions and symptoms, and obtain a referral for further help if required.
