About the Authority: The Convention Center Authority serves to increase the promotion, attraction, stimulation, development and expansion of business, industry, commerce, and tourism in the county seat. The authority should provide direct benefit to the hotel industry, the restaurant and entertainment industry and other tourism related businesses.
The authority consists of 7 members of which 3 are appointed by the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners and 3 are appointed by the City of Lancaster. The County and City will alternate in the appointment of the 7th member every 4 years.
