About the Authority: The authority is tasked with using available resources to facilitate the return of vacant, blighted, abandoned and/or tax-delinquent properties to productive use. The mission of the authority is to combat community deterioration to create economic growth and a stabilized housing and job market within Lancaster County. The Land Bank Authority through collaboration with the Redevelopment Authority and member municipalities will acquire, hold and transfer interest in real property, as approved by the Board of Commissioners, to meet their mission.
The authority consists of 7 members. Each of the 5 appointed members of the Redevelopment Authority (LINK IT) serve on the Land Bank Authority alongside 2 community members appointed by the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners.
